First off I wanted to say this is a really cute idea and the background is lovely. I like the way you brought some grass and flowers into the foreground.

I agree with <img class="avatar" src="a.deviantart.net/avatars/t/h/t…" alt=":iconthefantasim:" title="thefantasim"/> on her assessment and suggestions. She's been a huge help and a great resource for me and I can tell she and her group <img class="avatar" src="a.deviantart.net/avatars/m/a/m…" alt=":iconmanipulatethis:" title="ManipulateThis"/> has really helped my manips improve.

One thing I've noticed is if you're dong a manip of animals and live people is to try to use living stock for all unless one is supposed to be deliberately doll-like. It may just be my Bass Pro trained eyes but the first thing I thought when I saw the manip was "Hey, that deer looks like an archery target, I've worked an image like that for the website."

What I would suggest would be to widen the canvas to a landscape rather than a portrait canvas and spread your birds and fairy out a little. I'd swap out the fake deer for a real deer and soften the use of the floating dandelions a little too. I think they look great on the bottom right side, but they are too heavy on the deer and the fairy.

The other thing I noticed is the lighting isn't quite cohesive. There is a beam of light coming down but the characters in the photo are all the same shade. It looks like the fairy's head and shoulders and the deer's head should be lighter since they are directly in the beam. I always have trouble with light and shadows myself. They are my arch-enemy for manips! lol

Otherwise I think you had a great idea and did a good job! What I really like about it is that it's not your typical fairy manip. It seems more light-hearted and playful than the "sexy fairy" or "depressed fairy" that we see all-the-friggin'-time on here. Good job!! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt=":D" title=":D (Big Grin)"/>
